Cancer had been for so long such a trying opponent in medicine that it had ravaged the lives of millions all over the world. However, technologies advanced and new trends about treating and diagnosing this scourge early were reintroducing hope into patients' lives as well as boosting the workload of healthcare providers. With new therapies and advanced diagnostics that progressively improve results and quality of life for those whose lives have been touched by this very often devastating disease, it is believed and hoped that the end of this battle against cancer is finally near.

Improved by these technologies is the capacity of radiologists to catch tumors at early stages, thereby the interventions happen right at the right time.

Of course, there is a whole lot still left out to be done, but last few years have brought so much progress that has given a new sense of hope for the patients and their families. At the end of this road are promises of smarter therapies that will begin to cut down cancer almost before we are aware it is there, earlier intervention that will help avoid such a catastrophe for as many as possible, and hopefully, survival for this complex and puzzling disease.
